As I love my music I love this poster - my daughter wants it, my son the muso in Melbourne will probably get it, eventually... [-X

I saw it in it's original release and several times afterward, always at an uber-small theatre in Manhattan on 11th or 12th street on the East side.
The story Pete Townsend tells about how it was decided if Hendrix or the Who went on first is great (the Who wound up going on first, but Jimi burned his guitar and which group do you think the audience remembered?)
another funny part is one ex-girlfriend of Jimi's gets interviewed and pieces are throughout the film. What's funny is that it is so-o-o obvious she has her hand in her pants all the time playing a little music.
If you haven't seen this movie, there are few I can recommend as much. No doubt it is my #1 concert film
I have the dvd right next to me for replay soon
ps: the correct title is: A Film About Jimi Hendrix
not: Jimi Hendrix
