NCAA fan base is usually made up of people whom actually went to the university and students. Texas A&M had 38,000 students at the game last Saturday. Basically, a largely affluent crowd whom can afford tickets and travel.
Most NFL stadiums can't get 100,000 most games. The Dallas Cowboy Stadium only holds 80k compared to where my aggies play @ 106k... NFL is more for the masses including working class folks...
Interesting, that must say something about the Uni culture and the after game activities, aka Pubs, Bars Restaurants, and nightlife? Sounds like a great night out.
Actually it mostly happens before the games as most college stadiums do not serve alcohol... And once you get inside NFL stadiums beer is about $10 a bottle.
Charlie-big win yesterday by your Aggies! As 23-pt underdogs, big upset on the road at Auburn! Gets 'em back in bowl contention. With final game at home vs LSU-should be interesting end to season!
Sorry-was referring to college football-am guessing that Charlie's team is Texas A&M-the "Aggies." They beat the #3 college football team in US. Big win! Las Vegas odds had the Aggies an underdog by over 3 touchdowns (21 points). So it was the biggest upset in college sports yesterday.
Many (myself included) follow college football with a great deal of passion so it's always fun when your team as an underdog scores a big upset over one of the biggest teams in the country. The Auburn Tigers have been consistently one of the best teams in the nation for the last 5 yrs.

Right on! It was an awesome game... I was on edge the whole time... Almost lost my voice and my wife said it was the loudest she had ever heard me scream after the blocked field goal and return... Missouri next week at Kyle - suppose to be 44 F and drizzling - better go but a new poncho...
Well the final four college football teams were chosen for Jan 1st playoff games! Bama vs Ohio St, and Oregon vs Fl St! Should be some great games! Tide & Ducks are early favorites in Vegas.
Very likely-Bama has deep talent & a great coach. But the games still need to be played. I didn't give your Aggies too much of a chance to beat a very good Auburn team, but they played a great game & won!
Which brings me to next season, A&M's first game is against my alma mater, Arizona St. Should be a good game as Graham & Sumlin have done fantastic jobs raising the level of play of their respective programs.
The most wonderful time of the year in America begins tomorrow! Another exciting season of college football kicks off tomorrow night! Opening games not always crucial, but this weekend holds some good match ups!
