Here is the answer.in the form of a U.K. quad. Sorry after a lot of research I haven't been able to establish the type of plane it is supposed to be All I can say is the film was partly filmed at the Edwards ( Muroc ) air force base in California. The film was released in 1958 and was directed by the actor Helmut Dantine.
Two images still there from a the same film set during World War one. One obvious ( to me anyhow ) and one other that doesn't remotely help and in this particular case you have to identify the actress after you identify the obvious image. Good luckj.
Bottom left World War Two. We are talking low budget movie here.
It took me ages to work this one out but I have come up with this title having been the inspiration. Right period 1957 to 1960. It was a 1959 release in the U.S.A.

Another clue - a remake of a well know 1930's film now in public domain.

The original Australian daybill that inspired the two images on the stock poster.
Any ideas what type of plane this is?

Good thinking but U. S. air force late 1950's confusingly drawn.

Don't know. U.S. artwork for same film. Australian daybill artwork would have been inspired by this image or something similar.

A Regalscope Picture
Hondo
The incorrect Regalscope. Regal films made a lot of westerns.
