  • The post-card, is quite the ticket, love that kind of stuff.
  • Proud of these... Original Hindi posters are hard to find.  These are from one the first films my wife and I sat down and watched together:

    Here is a clip:

  • Cool water effect on first one. Same size as a one sheet?
  • Hard to photograph, but very happy to add this Aussie glass slide to my SW collection. How many have survived?

  • I had no idea you were a star wars nut!

Picked up this nice little GWTW postcard. Seller told me they were handed out by the usher in a Sydney cinema. Might be from premiere, not sure. Original release rating.

Pretty, but I still don't like this movie!
  • I'm a '70s & '80s guy. Those are the films I grew up with and have the most connection to. Saw Star Wars at nine years old and never forget the experience!
  • I had no idea you were a star wars nut!

"nut" should be in capital letters. ;)

  • Yearling Australian one sheet

The One That Got Away Australian one sheet

Stand By for Action Australian one sheet

    Hysteria Australian one sheet

  • Listen you...stay away from the Peck material!  Roman Holiday should be MORE than enough for you!

Is One that Got away full bleed or trimmed?

Very nice by the way :)

  • It's a full bleed girl, yes I'm surprised as well. As for Peck...not a full fan myself....but love his work.

  • All nice...Hysteria is cool Matt!, I like the ratings down the bottom too
  • Nice pickups all
  • Ok, I have to admit this made me laugh my ass off...

This one is now at my secret storage unit in Texas =)
WC with alternate title for "TEN NIGHTS IN A BARROOM"

  • Awesome Matias, love the snipe, it really sets the tone for the movie and poster.

For my edification I looked up details about the movie: Ten Nights in a Barroom is a 1931 American Pre-Code film based on the book 'Ten Nights in a Bar-room and What I Saw There' an 1854 novel written by T. S. Arthur.

The book was a financial success and would go on to be made into a play, musical and film. Ten Nights in a Barroom was the second most popular book of the Victorian Era, following Uncle Tom's Cabin.

The work is also significant because of its promotion of the Cult of Domesticity and prohibition. Arthur used the book to argue that women needed to steer men to the path of morality to protect the home. Nothing was as dangerous to morality as alcohol, so its use needed to be restricted by women.[2] The book is the first work to openly call for prohibition and was a popular temperance melodrama. The novel was easily transferred to play format, so it was frequently used to promote prohibition to large audiences. The play based on the novel continued to be popular even after the end of prohibition in the United States, although it was usually presented as a parody.

Here's the entire movie which you can download for free courtesy of the Internet Archive:

Technically it is a new acquisition for you - just only temporarily ;)
  • Seize it!
  • What do they say...possession is nine tenths of the law! ;)

Only joking...not about it being loverly, about keeping it obviously!

  • A nemesis poster that I finally found for a price I wanted to pay:

    Pale Rider US OS

  • Congratulations, lovely poster...and I love it when that happens too...rarely, but sometimes :)
  • Charlie we are only allowed to post Aussie posters on this forum - did you not get the memo?
