I'm Not What I Look Like Quiz

This is the first of a number of images that are deceiving as the genre they belong to are not what they appear to be. Image # 1. Name the film title.

  • Great idea for a quiz! I was thinking about something very similar the other day when I was looking at this daybill:

Not sure the casual movie goer would've thought this was for a sports biopic!
  • Yours is a great idea also but it differs from my concept. The full posters of the limited images I am making available would indeed inform people what the films are all about but I am only isolating a small image from the original daybill poster and am hoping they will be able to look past what looks like to them an image from a particular genre and figure out where the image came from by thinking outside of the box.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                          Image # 3. Name the film title. Someone should get this one.
  • 3 Young Frankenstein
  • 3 Young Frankenstein
Indeed the great Young Frankenstein from 1974. Who having seen it could forget the Puttin' On Thee Ritz number ?
  • Image # 4. Name the film title'
  • 4 Spaceballs (1987)
  • # 1. High anxiety?

    Best,
    dario.

Yes High Anxiety the Mel Brooks parody of Alfred Hitchcock films from 1977 is correct. Welcome aboard again and this time to this quiz. I'll have to see what else I can come up with as my reserves of images in this particular category are low.

Yes Matt another one for you in my quizzes. Spaceballs the Mel Brooks parody of Star Wars being the correct answer.
  •                                                                                                            Image # 5. Name the film title. The image is most likely correct in what you are thinking it is of but you may have the genre incorrect in your mind.

  • Hi Lawrence,

Thank you ! This was a favorite game on NS4 many years ago. Mrs.BFA ( Rita BooBoo ) used to put it on and we all took shoot at it.

    Lot's of fun, for sure!

I will try to get on here a bit more often. I can always sneak in between certain restoration components that needs time to dry in the studio before proceeding.

    Cheers,
    dario.
  • Dario may have an advantage, having seen more posters up close than most of us put together!
  • Possible right, David. + photographic memory =)

    Best,
    dario.
  • Does JoJo have any favourite film paper?
  • Hiya Matt,

She's a little bit all over the place, but I suspect Jojo likes "The Bad Girl" stuff.

She wanted me to put this 40x60 up on the wall. So I did, why not? I like it too.

    Nothing but best regards,
    dario.

  • Hubba hubba, that's cool.

I have a lobby for it

  • Yeah she's Hot)))

  • Lovely piece Dario!

For those who may not have worked it out the WD stands for Walt Disney.

A sad note regarding Belinda Lee. The above German film was originally released in Germany in 1959 as Die Wahrheit Uber Rosemarie and the above poster was for the U.S. release in 1960. The following year in 1961 Belinda was killed in a car accident in the U.S.A. on the 12th of March. She was only 25 years of age.

  •                                                             Image # 6. Name the film title.

  • Yes image # 6 is The Reluctant Astronaut from 1967.
  • Image # 2 clue. Walt Disney.

Image # 5. Some hostility and demonstrations against this film occurred.

  • Image # 2 clue. The main actor was close to drowning during the filming of the movie.
