  • Hi everyone~! I'm a newbie here.

I wondered if anyone out there was an authority on Marilyn posters?

I just found this one and wondered if anyone knew the name of the artist who signed it.
It's Robert something, but I can't quite make it out.

    Thanks~! Baby_Lulu

  • It's certainly a foil poster but is it signed by the artist? No other copies of this poster that I can find show a signature and there is nothing on this one that suggests it is an Artist's Proof or similar.

Agree the name is Robert, perhaps Heat?

Without the knowledge of who was the artist then I'd be loath to say it was signed by the artist.
  • Hi David,
    thanks for your input.
I wonder who but the artist would have signed
this poster. One of the actors?

    Thanks again,
    Baby_Lulu
  • I doubt it was signed by any of the production, according to IMdb there was only one actor called by the name of Robert, a Robert Gribbon and on the production side the Cinematographer went by the name of Robert A. Sherry - so neither of those match.

Lots of people sign posters, for all sorts of reasons, and certainly I am not saying it is not the artist I just feel one can't say it definitely it is, because you have to then prove it.

Unfortunately even armed with that knowledge it is not going to make it a hugely valuable piece.

  • Oh well~!

Again, thanks for your insight David.
