Good morning fellow poster beey-otches, and happy Friday! It's 2:30 a.m, and I'm up, having some cereal, getting ready for work, and laying some more poster excitement on y'all. I'll just post 3 more, and at this rate, I'll be done posting February acquisitions sometime mid-June. First off, I was following a handful of auctions by the same seller on ebay last week. They were all for 50's movies that featured rock 'n roller Bill Haley. There was an insert, half sheet, title card and an oddball Belgian. I got my arse kicked on the insert and half sheet (didn't bid on the TC), but low and behold, no one else bid on the Belgain. Apparently it's a German film titled Here I Am, Here I Stay, and only features Bill Haley and his Comets because they happened to be performing in Germany (and making the local news because it was causing the German teens to riot) during filming, and the female lead, Caterina Valente, persuaded them to be in it. Anyhow, now that you're on the edge of your seat:
Next up are 2 (out of quite a number the seller had) posters that I stumbled across as BIN's on ebay. I know nothing about the films, and probably never will. I just got them because they were inexpensive and I liked the look of them. They are from Latvia, and have Russian and Latvian text on them. Per the item descriptions on the auctions, this one is Twelve Girls and One Man (Latvian porn, maybe? ) , which the seller listed as Austrian actually, and it's from 1959:
And this one said Northern Story (1960 USSR/Latvia) in the item description:
And that's it for now, kiddies. There's lots more to post, so maybe I'll tackle a few more later.
