RKO/Simmons- check! KARLOFF - check! Lewton - check! Grail paper finally in the collection - doublecheck!!
Fantastic acquisition Chris.
Please keep searching for the still missing Val Lewton RKO daybill titles I Walked With A Zombie, The Curse Of The Cat People and Isle Of The Dead daybills. I would love to see the daybill images of these three titles.
The following images of the original U.S.A. inserts hopefully give us an indication of what the Australia Simmons full bleed daybills possibly will look like.
I really like this medium size (24x32). But I think they only made it in the 60/70's The French 1p is too big (47x63), the small is really too small (15x23)

I am very happy to have just bought this She (1935) campaign book cover from Morrie. I really like these full-color cover early campaign booksI It's quite large all folded out at 24" x 32", so larger than a half sheet. What do you all think about that large image of the 24 sheet? Can you imagine seeing that up on a billboard in your town?! Wow! Because of the fantastic, large 24 sheet image, I'm going to frame it. Have a great week everyone, Okie

Next life goal = put it in a frame (so will report back in 2024 if I am lucky...)

Lucky boy to have landed this one. Yes a billboard displaying the 24 sheet would have certainly looked spectacular in its day.
If an Australian Simmons printed full bleed long daybill still exists it would have to be impressive one would have to think.
Simply stunning
Why am I not surprised. I love the image choice though!
Leo is clearly a more sofisticated choice than the usual slice of cheese or ham (yep, that happened too)
