  • I'm pretty sure 224 is a comedy, not a horror, but I can't place it.

Correct thinking. As hinted at with one of my clues the film isn't the genre that it would appear to be. The film has been listed by IMDb as being a combination of comedy, drama and romance.

  • As I hopefully wait for an answer to arrive for C224, four more new film images follow below.

     C228  C229 C230  C231
  • C228 has to be Dial M For Murder (1954). I love all the related images.

It certainly is the Hitchcock classic. I try to be a little creative occasionally with the image presentation.

  • C230, I reckon is Pillow Talk
  • C230, I reckon is Pillow Talk
Correct as well. Pillow Talk from 1959.

    C229, Ransom?
  • C224 - no idea but keep thinking of films like The Great Race or What's Up Doc? Apart from that I have nothing!

    Peter

  • C229, Ransom?
Yes it is the 1956 version of Ransom!

  • C224 - no idea but keep thinking of films like The Great Race or What's Up Doc? Apart from that I have nothing!
A final clue is that the scene takes place in France,
  • Two more images using telephone scenes to finalise these similar theme inclusions.

  • As it would certainly appear that image C224 has stumped everyone, I would think it is time to reveal that the answer is Two For The Road from 1967.

It is The Slender Thread from 1965. It wouldn't have been the easiest image to identity, so well worked out.
