  • Once again the star pictured playing the piano gives it away for me. That's Arthur Askey in "Ramsbottom Rides Again" (1956). He was one of my favourite British comedy actors,  as well.
X41 is correct, and well done. I wasn't sure if many people would remember Arthur Askey or not.

Some interesting people appear in the supporting cast of this British made America western parody.

  •  X42
The male actor should be recognizable.
  • I never saw X42, but the actor is Lloyd Bridges and a scan of his early movies reveals this to be Trapped from 1949.

Correct. A crime film noir classified with an 'A' classification in the U.K., which one would think would have been the case. In Australia though it was  classified as being' For general exhibition. Was the film perhaps trimmed of some violence in Australia?

  •   X43
    Another science fiction film challenge.
  • X43 The Lost Missile

    X43 The Lost Missile
Correct. The Lost Missile from 1958.

No creature's eye appears on the Australian daybill. Whether this was due to Australian censorship, or possibly just a case of no room to include it, we most likely will never know.

The film received an 'A' rating when released in New Zealand, bit only a 'For general exhibition' rating in Australia,

  •  X44
I am thinking that it shouldn't take much time to figure out this film title.
  • X44 clue is stardom is not too far away.
  • A final clue for X44 is that any film's about the subject covered here are  extremely rare.
  • O.k. then, it would certainly appear that X44 had proved too difficult to be answered.

The film is The Fireball from 1950. An early pre stardom role for Marilyn Monroe.

  •  X45
Back to a more likely to be recognised genre of film this time around..
  • X45 clue is British Prime Minister.
  • A further clue for X45 is the lead actor was once miscast when he played a native American in a film.
  • I'm looking but not having much luck with the clues.

    Peter
  • A final clue for image X45 is that the lead actor found fame in makeup.
  • A stab in the dark but is it Tim Burton's Ed Wood (1994)?

    Peter
  • A stab in the dark but is it Tim Burton's Ed Wood (1994)?
Not that film, but thanks anyway for trying.
  • How about Bride of the Monster for X45?

  • And Lawrence, I thought it was brilliant on X45 when your clue was "A further clue for X45 is the lead actor was once miscast when he played a native American in a film. "

I immediately thought of Johnny Depp (as Tonto) and that led me to Tim Burton's Ed Wood but dedeposter posted it first.

When you said that was wrong, I figured it was the swamp movie Ed Wood recreated, Bride of the Monster, because Lugosi HAD played a Native American, Chingachgook in two German silent films, but that was wrong too.

But when you said "It is the other top legend's films you need to have a think about. ", I remembered Karloff was a Native American in Unconquered, and I also remembered that awful Voodoo Island, with a swamp.

I love when it is not just images, but also clues, because that gives an added dimension to this!

Correct. House on Haunted Hill from 1959. The scariest scene in the film. I just knew someone would promptly answer this one.

Thank you Bruce for your kind words. I do attempt to make my quizzes as interesting as possible, as well as providing some clues to hopefully steer one in the right direction to help in finding the correct answers.

Sometimes the images are recognised right away, but often memory isn't recalling them, or in some cases one has never seen the film in question, Remember that these are B films, and are you not expected to have seen a lot of them. Overall the correct answer results are excellent, There hasn't been too many film images at all that I have had to ecentually provide the answers for.

Some good early thinking by you and Dede regarding the Voodoo Island image though.
  •  X47
Two faces that should be recognisable in the above scene.
  •  X47
This should assist in working out the answer now with the addition of the extra well known actor's image on display.
  • That did it! The Big Combo for X47
