C528 is King Creole.  Young, skinny Elvis.
It is indeed, and just happens to be my favourite Elvis movie. King Creole from 1958.

I am thinking that Rick may have also known  the answer as well.

  • For a bit of extra information for 528, he's singing Lover Doll.

A clue for C527 is originally a play then a stage musical.
  • Moulon Rouge?
I thought maybe Rock of Ages or Greatest Showman, but they don't seem to match in costuming.
  • Not Moulin Rouge. Like this one though the film in question to be answered id a much more recent film that you would normally expect to see here..
  • Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020?)

Sorry, but not that one either. Thanks for having a go though.
  • I know I said that was the last guess, but I really have it this time, and it too was one of my first thoughts. Chicago (2002)

C527 is indeed Chicago. Top marks Peter for not letting this one beat you.

  • Wow.  That image crop was really tough.  I guess I see it now, but not feeling bad I missed it.
  •  C528  C529
Two sinister men pictured above. Any ideas of the films that these images are from?
  • Just a guess, but is C528 The night of the hunter? 1955

A correct guess so well done. A classic film and the only one that Charles Laughton ever directed.

The film was originally banned in Australia in 1956. An extremely suspenseful film to watch and certainly a classic.  Many of the film's scenes remain in my mind. Surprisingly I found that the reason the film was banned here was on sex grounds. Having seen the film I find this an odd reason for grounds to have banned the film

  • That hat! Unmistakable.

  • That hat! Unmistakable.
I had hoped that this would be the case.,
  •  C529
An expanded image of the earlier posted one. Hoping this will assist.
  • Is C529 Experiment in Terror? I feel like that image was used on some posters

That is the first one I guessed right in a month of Sundays! I guess you have made them much harder. It helps a lot when you use an image that is also on some posters.

Correct, and one of the answers that I had though was going to be difficult you answered, so very well done.

Blackboard Jungle from 1955 and Good Morning, Miss Dove also from 1955.

Hopefully Bruce there are some other members that share your enthusiasm.
  • C535 - A Beautiful Mind (2001)

    Peter
  • C535 - A Beautiful Mind (2001)
    Correct and well worked out.

  • I have a bunch of other "school, teacher" films to Google to see what I get....

    Peter
  • 50% or the films answered so far without any assistance of cues. Let's see if we can keep it rolling along.

Two out of the remaining three images  should be getable, Let's keep our thinking caps on, and research ongoing.
