Sounds good to me. Patton from 1970.

George C. Scott won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1971 for his performance in Patton portraying General George S. Patton. Scott refused to accept the award from the Academy.

    Correct. Hamburger Hill from 1987.

    The film's VHS end credits.
  • Another clue for 425 is Saipan
  • A final clue for 425 is one soldier's amazing feat.
  • I had thought that my previous two clues were good, but apparently not good enough. The film in question is Hell To Eternity from 1960.

The film is based on real life events that tells the true story of Guy Gabaldon who was born to Mexican-American parents, and learnt to speak Japanese in the area he lived in while growing up

.During World War 11 he served as a U.S. marine in the Pacific campaign. While only 18 years of age he captured or persuaded to surrender over 1,500 Japanese soldiers and civilians during the battles of Saipan and Tinian islands, He earned the title of ''The Pied Piper Of Saipan''. (Various sources including Wikipedia which includes his image that appears below.)
