The above Sleeping Beauty Australian daybill is currently being advertised for sale on ebay as being an original 1959 Australian daybill poster. The poster is though for a 1955 West German film titled Dornroschen that was released in a dubbed English language version as Sleeping Beauty in 1965.
This then has me thinking if the seller hadn't researched the product that he is offering I do find it hard to understand though that type of mistake

At least a minimumof 100,000 copies of the small jigsaw appear to have been produced according to what is listed above on August 30.. I cannot confirm a known copy of this jigsaw existing today,

1997/1999 daybill printing appears to have been discontinued for the majority of released films. and scaling back each year in the limited number that ended up still being printed. Very few daybills were printed at all during the early to middle 2000's and the last one located by me during this decade being Bridge To Tarabithia.in 2007 as seen below..
This isn't the end of the story though as at least one more daybill was printed during the 2010's and probably the last one ever printed.
These weren't "official" daybills so might not count in finding the last known daybills. They were printed to promote sales of T Shirts at the original screenings and are very cool posters. I had mine signed by John Jarratt and Greg McClean.
A 2005 Australian release, but a two years earlier printed poster than my last mentioned Bridge To Terabithia film that was released here later in 2007. This then rules out the poster as being the last daybill, whether it being an ''official'' cinema daybill or not.
Any other examples of 2007 or later daybills images known?
In the spirit of John's non-official promo daybill. On Halloween 2022, Umbrella Entertainment released 3 're-imagined' full sized horror Daybills and Blueray sleeves inspired by an Australian classic. Each were available for $20AUD.
To quote Umbrella:
'In a homage to Ozploitation, this Halloween we have revamped 3 Horror classics with "G'day of the Dead" Ozploitation variants. Featuring all new custom art, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been styled as Wake In Fright, Hellraiser styled as Turkey Shoot, and Day of the Dead styled as Crocodile Dundee'
These are long since sold out on their store, however, there have been a number of these since sold on ebay.
An update on missing very early Cinemascope Australian daybills.
Sadly no missing daybill images. However, I recently came into the possession of a 1956 Australian Cinemascope trade brochure. Of which a couple of pages should provide some interest.
An interesting fact that isn't very well known is that London Films physical Australasian film distributor was Universal. This information can be seen on the above Storm Over The Nile advertisement. On the following daybill and one sheet images no credit for Universal ( Universal International) was added onto any of the posters.

Agree, so let us hope it will eventuate one day although it is long odds for this ever happening.

The original U.S.A. RKO jigsaw puzzle. Love the price offered to exhibitors.
1) The year Australian daybills stopped being printed as a whole.
2) The title of the last known daybill printed after this took place,
This isn't the end of the story though as at least one more daybill was printed during the 2010's and probably the last one ever printed.
Any idea what the title is?
