Exactly one year ago, near the beginning of April 2025, I (Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com) announced that "I will continue running this business (just as I have for the past 36 y…

(Quote) I have had a number of these over the years and they were all similar, and the above describes their "oddness" well.

You are correct and I was wrong and I have fixed it.
But 2 points:
That one-sheet has a similar image, but there are notable differences.
The only existing one-sheet is mostly recreated -
Linenbacking ANY poster that would sell for under $100 unbacked is truly throwing money away.
Yet people do it all the time. The only benefit is to the buyer, who often gets a steal, assuming the linenbacking was well done in the first pl… -

I don't know of any other posters that measured 15x40, so yes, that does seem to make it much more likely.
But why so incredibly few horizontal ones, and from very different times?

A correction. Mexican Lobby Cards don't have "title cards". They are all scene cards, with different inset images. Naturally people much prefer ones with great inset images.

I love that Road to Ruin! Amazing to me that a poster from 1799 is not in a museum.

In the 1980s, Jose Carpio, owner of Cinemonde in San Francisco, felt exactly as you do, and he backed it up with color catalogs (which no one else did) and he took out full page ads in interior decorator magazines.

A word of advice on buying posters like this. If that is pen on the monster's face, it has bonded in to the paper, and can't be erased, only painted over. And no matter who does it, unless they paint over the entire face, it will still be somewhat n…

You should never use the small image to show what we sold.
After the auction, all we leave online is the medium size image, but that still is FAR better than the small image, as seen here:

(Quote) There are a fair amount in Spanish, and a lot of the recent lobbies (in English and Spanish) are sent to me from South America, so that is one place that still uses them.

To me, this is a great photo. It shows the buyer EXACTLY what they will be getting.

It would be "good to very good" for me. Clearly NOT "very good" and clearly NOT "good" so that makes the choice easy.
I WOULD mention that the defects are primarily in the borders, which is very important.

No adjustments of any kind. We are wanting to show you what you actual will see when you receive your poster.

I was going to be REALLY creative and SOLELY post the video, but I was afraid you would say "so close" since it is not exactly the same title!

(Quote) I find it hard to believe there are two artists SO incredibly awful! Maybe they are related (father/son)?
I wish someone would consign the Godzilla to me. I would proudly put in in my major auction! -

This "artist's" work is so bad it is great (I imagine it is the same person who did the Godzilla).

(Quote) I agree. I have always liked posters where some of the image goes outside the frame. It is eye-catching, which is what a poster is supposed to be.

Yes, Matt Schapiro does own it, along with the others from his eBay listing.

Thanks Peter. We'll try to fix it there.
