I think Greg has some sets with only 6 of the 8 cards he wants to move on....

Not sure where Greg got that from, as I have quite a few Girosign sets, and all have 8 cards. Does he give a year from when this started, as I have 70’s ones still in sets of 8.

I think you guys have about covered Girosign, bar one thing. Quite a few films had a 12 card set. Some were two sets of 6, and there's usually a small A or B marking the sets, and some sets were just a full 12 cards. Yes, on the whole 8 is the Norm.…

The Anglo-American film agreement was between 48-58. It's a bit long winded, but as the UK was struggling after the war, more so the North, it was agreed The US would make some films over here. It's new on me, I have a few books to check, so will be…

Simple answer is still, No. I have about the same myself I want doing, but are waiting for now. If you don't need any restoration, why are you getting them done? any pics ?

I have quite a few of these, but from the UK. They were used when there was no poster availible, like one off showings, or used for advance notices, or if there was a short supply of main posters, or as a cheap way to advertise on some of the smalle…

First UK release poster..

Yes, Neanderthal Man recieved an X Cert in November 53, so was most likely shown in Jan 54 in the UK, late December 53 at the very earliest.

And yet it must have had two releases, as here's a much cheaper version which I have. I'm sure I have some stills also. It is a film I still haven't seen so couldn't comment, but it certainly got around at the time..
I believe this poster goes with this US titled Documentary short. Name changed in the UK, as movies was an American term. All a push to try and stem people stopping at home with this new fangled TV gizzmo.. This done by RKO for AMPAS..
<…Here you go Lawrence, this is from 1950...
I have several Quads with this symbol on, all early 50's. It was just a push to get people back into Cinemas, as T.V. was being launched all over the UK. By 52, Elizabeth was proclaimed Queen, and even more people were buying TV's to watch the coron…And just to show I'm still on track...
…I'm not buying much as the stuff I want just isn't there, or it's silly money... plus I don't know how to post pics..

Due to the nature of this Quad, it will have been the first release. Offset printing, Printers info on the poster, etc. The previous one posted with just the Jedda name, is a silkscreen, which was used in the UK for more limited runs, Much cheaper w…OK, So far. It went out in July 56 for a trade screening, Went on general release on 13th Aug 56 with Eyewitness, but was cut down to 61 mins. There was a TV 15MIN short shown in 55 only on TV, under the title Jedda the Uncivilised. So it's possib…OK, The Quad posted above, is from use on Mainland UK. It's silkscreen, which was used for very limited showings, so this won't have been a large release, more likely the independant Chains. I have a friend who has a large collection of Kine Mags, …Lawrence, is there anyway you can get a better image of the text on the bottom of these stills? Can't quite make it out..Number 1 UK collector....
Up close they are not as sharp as the originals, Paper should be Matt, almost smooth on one side, slightly rougher on the back.Yes, there's several Quads at full size that are repros. At first they look fine till you get up to them. Paper is all wrong too..I have the book Matias, I could try and take a good Pic..
Are you not better trying to get hold of Sean, I'm sure he'd help??
Looking quite the ticket...
