Thanks for the update...and the headache!
-
I'm glad you're organised! If I was doing that they'd be all over the place.
-
Amazing posters for films I'd never heard of!
-
Might be a bug in the latest software update.
I clicked on My Watch List on the web page on my laptop (I don't currently have any items in MY WATCH LIST, then it took me through to the Mobile Site. Screenshot below, not where I expected t… -
...and I recently watched this!

I think in all probability they just didn't think of adding a blank space!
-
I was approached at one stage to work on World Safari III, but it never eventuated...probably just as well!
I'd say that the 35mm prints would have been blow ups from 16mm, common practice in those days. -
Don't you hate it when you know you've seen those image before but you can't remember where they're from?
-
Didn't attend any screenings, but that was certainly a popular genre of films back then. An easy way to make a regular income, if you knew what you were doing.

Is 335 Dracula (1931)?

The US theatrical one sheet could be any old film, at least wth the Australian poster you know what you're getting!

Can't wait!

-
I vaguely remember the title of that film.
-
I assume it was banned in 1938?
-
Things like that are why I bought the 4K version, then I can watch the original whenever I want to. Did you know there's an abridged version that also shows up on TV? It deleted the entire Pottersville section, because that part is still under copyr…

"The Flying Doctor" supported by "She Had To Eat". Perhaps he was treating eating disorders?

Very intelligent sci fi film.

230 - Arrival (2016) - excellent sci fi film from Denis Villeneuve.
-
Big title change indeed!
-
I guess it would depend on what their distribution arrangement was.
-
More great research as always, I didn't realise they got into distribution so late.
-
Would it be Romance on the High Seas (1948) - starring Doris Day?
-
That's reassuring news. Thanks John.
-
Great research - have you ever thought of contacting the Society of Cinema Pioneers to see if anyone has recollections? I'm a member and could give you contact details if you like. Perhaps they can put a something in their newsletter?
-
(Quote) No, tariffs are paid on import as far as I'm aware.
-
(Quote) Thats very reassuring! I think this is the year I pack up the rest of my collection, stand by!

I thought the generic description for them was "special poster"
