     is a clue for # 163.
Two television mini series of the same title followed this film many years later.
Looks like I have stumped everyone with this one so I will divulge the answer. The image is from The Day Of The Triffids from 1962. There were two mini series made also in 1981 and in 2009.The film was based on the novel written by author John Wyndham. At the start of the film there is a shower of meteorites. This 1962 film version isn't very good but the book by John Wyndham is great. The 1962 film version was never screened theatrically in Australia.

167c. This image featuring one of the main actors, along with the previous  167 & 167b images, hopefully will enable someone to answer the title of the film. The actor has been known to be invisible.
  • The Lost World ( 1960 ) is the answer for 167. 167b & 167c. The clue given for the 167c image of " the actor has been known to be invisible'' was referring to Claude Rains who appeared as the title character in the 1933 film The Invisible Man. If anyone is interested the actress shown in the first two images is Vitina Marcus who played the jungle girl.

  • 169.  The Omega Man
  • I was 10 when that film came out in 1960.  Remember that parts of it scared the heck out of me.

fwiw, I was referring to #167, not The Omega man.
I remember Omega man as well, as something rather cheesy.

BTW, 170 is Time After Time (1979).  Steenbergen and McDowell fell in love during the filming of that one and it showed.  I really liked that film.

No problems and of course Time After Time is correct, and I thoroughly agree with you that it is a very likeable film.

Final clue for 168 is the following image.

Although I had said I had given the final clue, I would like someone to answer rather than me just providing the answer. The final clue is there a Audrey Hepburn connection. There that should be easy enough to solve now.
  • Not my strong suit, but I'm sure I've seen this somewhere! It's a nuclear bomb movie, right?

Film is The World, The Flesh and The Devil (1959)
Connection is that one of the stars Mel Ferrer was married to Hepburn

Correct and a good team effort.

  •  174 175 176

Three more to tackle. Should be easy enough for two to be identified, but maybe not so much for number 174, but prove me wrong.
  • For 174 I was trying When Worlds Collide (1951), but I couldn't find a match.
