I was trying to hide it from google images. I used streetview and picked an unconventional angle. The bluring was an artifact as was the jagged edge on the turret. Unfortunately images picked right up on it.
We lived out there in the early 80s, so I knew where it was. I was always amazed that the kids ran out of the school and down the hill to the Tides restaurant 5.5 miles away. Kind like the Charger losing 12 hubcaps during the car chase in Bullitt.

Btw-interesting post as there is a bit of controversy surrounding the people who purchased Scotty's apt - Vertigo- in San Francisco and renovated the front. Locals and movie buffs/historians are upset it no longer holds any of the original entrance or feel from Hitchcock's classic.
Yeah what's with that, the owner's doing renovation on their own house.
No beef with that----21st century-building walls! (No that's not meant to be a political statement, but rather a comment on society moving from the front porch to the back patio).
