Welcome back…  This post is one of the weakest entries of late. That is saying a lot, as the previous entry was pretty bad. However, the next entry will be even more pathetic than this one. I’m winding down from my recent purchases… Finally. I can’t afford anything.
But let’s take a look at when I have this time, shall we? This will be quick.

    SURGIKILL (special):

I’m not sure what this is. It’s only 9 1/2 x 8 1/2“ long. It is some promotional piece for Andy Milligan’s “ SURGIKILL”.  “SURGI-What!?! You’ve never heard of it, probably.  I do not know why, but I am an anti-Milligan aficionado. SURGIKILL Was one of his last movies. It went straight to  video. I caught it on DVD. It’s OK… Certainly nothing to write home about. But I couldn’t not get this piece. It is allegedly from Andy Milligan‘s estate…And was cheap.

    POLTERGEIST I I:

Normally, I wouldn’t bother with sequel posters. But this was part of a lot. So why not? The movie itself… Not so good.

    THE SATAN BUG:
Most of the posters in this post are from a lot purchase. I didn’t put every single poster in. Some of them just suck too much. I’ve never heard of this movie before. The poster, well, not great, is new to me. I don’t know the film. I don’t know the poster. So why not included?

    CUJO:
I probably already have a copy of this. It’s not the best poster in the world and it’s not the best Stephen King adaptation.… But it’s Cujo. Woof.

    LINK:
Another poster for a movie I’ve never heard of. Yes, it was from the lot I got. I might as well include it.

    FIRESTARTER:
another substandard, Stephen King adaptation. I probably already have this poster, too. Who knows? Who cares? Yes, it was a lot purchase.

    CAT’S EYE:
For those few who don’t know, this is yet another Stephen King adaptation that’s not really a Stephen King adaptation. It’s a collection of short stories of his-not a novel.adaptation. FIRESTARTER‘s, Drew Barrymore is back for this one as well.

    THE FINAL CONFLICT:
Yes, another lot purchase. Who doesn’t have a cheap copy of this poster? This was a box off his bomb, I believe. It’s for strike against it was that it didn’t really identify itself as THE OMEN 3. I mean, it mentions being part of the OMEN trilogy, but… Certainly, this is my least favorite of the three original films. If you add in the fourth TV movie, this takes a step up. But that’s not saying much. This could’ve been so much more, but they obviously were keeping an eye on the budget. Too bad.

    PSYCHO II:
I actually really liked the sequel. Yes this is another lot poster. I probably already have a copy of this or two. It was much better than PSYCHO 3 Or that TV movie (PSYCHO 4?) that was actually sort of a prequel with a young Norman Bates. But I did find this interesting. Not for purists, but go into it with an open mind if you haven’t seen it. The poster itself is just OK.

    LEVIATHAN:
I saw this flick when it came out. I don’t remember much about it. There were a couple of other similarly themed movies that came out about the same time. Why is this lot poster taking the coveted last spot in this post? Because I don’t think I had a copy before. The art isn’t that exciting, but it’s new to me in the sense that I didn’t have it before.

And that is your 10 posters for this time. As I told you, it was short and sweet… And utterly boring. I have one more post ready to go. Nothing exciting there either… But I’ll get it up in about a week or so. Thanks for visiting this time. Cheers!
  • Apart from Surgikill and Link there are more well known films posters included this time around. The pick for me for its artwork and for me being a cat lover has to be Cat's Eye.

CAT’S  EYE is far more interesting than FIRESTARTER, that’s for sure. More interesting than FINAL CONFLICT too, actually. I really didn’t have a favorite this time. The reason LEVIATHAN got the coveted last spot was because I think I had copies of the other posters already…except LEVIATHAN. (And SURGIKILL)

Welcome back!!! I know my last post was decidedly boring. This one isn’t much better. Oh sure, there are a couple of interesting bits here and there. But, by and large,  there really isn’t much to see here either. But let’s not dawdle. Let’s get this show on the road.…

    WARLOCK:

The late Julian Sands starred in this so-so horror film. There was a sequel as well, but I believe it went straight to video. This was part of a lot. I got in an auction. No big deal.

Normally, I would avoid posters for sequels. The. KARATE KID series does nothing for me. I know I saw the original back in the day in the theater. I think I even saw the sequel in the theater. But, I never jumped on the. KARATE KID bandwagon. It just didn’t work for me. But I had a chance to get this one and it’s rolled, not folded… I got it because of… (scroll down)

    THE KARATE KID:
I got this poster as an investment. I’ve already said I wasn’t a fan of the series. But after three sequels (?) And TV series, I’m aware that this series has its fans. I can sell it if I need to.

I saw this when it came out back in the day. I was less than impressed. I had such high hopes for this Joe Dante film, but was horribly disappointed. Oh well. This was part of a lot.

Another lot purchase. Don’t worry, I’m not sharing every single poster in the lot. I saw this film when it came out. I remember distinctly going to see it with my grandmother. I didn’t need this poster. I already have a copy, in fact. As a kid, I remember this movie being kind of fun. It had a gimmick as well, “Sound 360”—which I’m guessing was an early form of Surround Sound? But this flick seems to have totally vanished from anybody’s radar these days. If I watched it today, I’m sure I would be disappointed.

This was not a lot purchase. I actually bought this on its own. I have a copy of this already. I bought this because it was cheap. This movie is basically an alien rip off with a robot instead of an alien. It’s terrorizing Kirk Douglas, and Farrah Fawcett on one of Saturn’s moons. Harvey Keitel is in the mix as well. It’s kind of silly. And it’s kind of a cool poster.

I already have a copy of this poster, and this copy has more wear than I am usually OK with. I was fascinated by this movie as a kid. The remake was a mess. Is this movie even well regarded today… Or is it just forgotten?

I had never heard of this. I saw this for sale on eBay and decided to go for it. There were no other copies of this poster floating around. I looked it up. It said it was a 2024 film on IMDb. I’m guessing it was something that played festivals in 2024? I don’t know. Not long after I bought this poster, I saw that it was going to be playing in theaters for a limited time. I didn’t get to see it. It didn’t play here. That’s not surprising. But it sounds kind of interesting. I’ll have to check it out eventually. My reasoning for buying this was that it seemed to be some sort of obscure horror movie. At the time I bought it there were no other copies of the poster available. Thinking it was from 2024 and the fact that it sounded so interesting Had me buying it thinking it might be a cult hit in the poster, which was clearly not mass produced on the level of something like SUPERMAN or JURASSIC WORLD would lead to an increase in value. No idea that will come to fruition or not, but I’m glad o got it. Hopefully I get to see it and it turns out to be worthwhile.

I never saw this film, but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve always been curious about it. This poster is the closest I’ve come to seeing it so far. I know this poster is pretty common, and it was a lot purchase, but I don’t think I ever had a copy before.

I never saw this movie, but I remember when it came out. The poster for it is interesting. Getting a peek at the film on the poster does pique my interest in seeing it. It looks bizarre. I think it was also European made? I don’t know for sure. Like I said, I’ve never seen it.
And that was it… 10 mostly nothing posters. I am working on another post. Almost everything in it was free. I’ll get that up in a week or two. My interest in buying posters is waning very quickly. I got news about my health. My cancer has spread to my lungs and some lymph nodes. That doesn’t sound good at all. I haven’t talked to the doctor yet as I write this. I don’t know what the plan will be yet… Or if they’re even will be one. I’ve already been through chemo for three months. I had a major surgery and now I’ve been on immunotherapy for the last six or seven months. To have the cancer spread is a big kick in the pants… Well, I was gonna say someplace else, but… You get the idea. Oh well. We will see what happens. (UPDATE: I’m starting a new chemo regime starting next week. I’ll be getting chemo weekly for three weeks with the 4th week off… and then repeating it all. It will be awful, but what choice do I really have?) Thanks for visiting the page. Check back eventually for the next post… Which may be the last post? Let’s hope not. Cheers!

  • Fantastic Planet is by far ahead of being my pick of this batch,

    I think so, too. 👍🏻
  • I quite like Warlock. Trivia note - the director Steve Miner came to Australia to supervise the music and visited my hometown with one of the orchestra members. They were going fishing together and the local guy contacted me so i got to go out with them and interview Steve for the local paper. He was very easy to chat with.

How utterly exciting. I like stories like that. Very groovy. I especially like that. He was so easy to chat with and not arrogant or full of himself. What a happy and lucky coincidence for you. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
