What else ya got John??? =)
  • Some rare posters coming out of the woodwork. I haven't seen any of them before. Shanghai Gesture is an appealing daybill.
  • What else ya got John??? =)

Well, I reckon this one sheet might be the only known copy.

  • and this one (Four Hearts) ..

I also have In Which We Serve but it is very rare.

Sweet John, have you ever seen a We Dive at Dawn Aussie poster?
  • No Matt, I cant recall ever seeing that one.
  • This could be the most modern piece. Has been made as a collage with Arnie enlarged from an Int'l one sheet. The folds are visible like on other Aussie posters and the one running through his sunglasses has been touched up by hand. Small text is also cut from an original poster and stuck down. Rest is hand painted except for M rating which has been applied. Made from tough, multi-layer craft paper. I'm pretty sure MAPS produced it, possibly as a one-off. Came from Tasmania and I love it!

  • Oh Four Hearts!

Would go so well with my daybill:

  • Wow! Great stuff.  I have Brazilian OS for Help! and Halloween but I have no idea where they are and I can’t find photos.

Looks like you got some huntin' to do then!
  • Oh wow Mark...just read the description on that Arnie...sounds like someone spent some serious time on that baby.
    How big is it?

I'll chuck in a newer one too. Probably no one else on the planet would want one, so the fact its the only one is probably a mute point!

Never seen another, probably never will!
  • You shouldn't mention a mute point out loud. :)

Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
HAS lifetime guarantees on every item - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS unrestored and unenhanced images - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS 100% honest condition descriptions - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS auctions where the winner is the higher of two real bidders - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS "buyers premiums" - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "reserves or starts over $1 - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS hidden bidder IDs - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS no customer service to speak of - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "nosebleed" shipping charges - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS inadequate packaging - NOT eMoviePoster.com

  • Shanghai Gesture & Mona Lisa are outstanding!

Green Mansion's very nice in color & artwork!

You guys better watch out for Bruce he catches all these silent statements...

  • Two more that might be only known copies ...

Thanks for catching it.  I'm wrapped  =)

  • What about your Virginia City long daybill John? Surely has to qualify for inclusion here.

Yes, I think both Virginia City and Footsteps in the Dark might qualify as only known copies.

  • This is a great topic. I think there are many "only known copies" of posters for Australian films but you can never tell for sure so its well worthwhile putting them on this thread to see if they pass the test!
  • Nullarbor Nymph - great title!
Terminator banner is 2.5m x 60cm and has great presence on the wall.
Watched They Died With Their Boots On the other week. Errol was a good actor.
On safe ground with this one>>

    This one is great Matt!
  • I think this Aussie 3 sheet might be another lone survivor. I have two bottom sections so at least two copies were printed back in '73.

A few daybills I've not seen before (or again):

    The Inspector General

    The Night Heaven Fell:

    Our Man In Havana:

    Angels One Five:

  • Angels one five clearly done in same year and by same artist as African Queen daybill.
  • Jaws 3sh I've seen sold by john and i have one in my collection.
I'm sure there are others around, but I've never seen another Dial M for Murder daybill.
    I like the Nullabor Nymph!
  • Are there many It Came From Outer Space Aussie one-sheets around?
  • I do have a fair few that fit this category.....
