Correct. To Hell and Back from 1955. The true story of Audie Murphy, who was the most decorated soldier in U.S. history. The film was based on the autobiography of Audie Murphy who starred as himself in the film.
Correct. Patton from 1970. Your perseverance has paid off Sven.
The film was the winner of Seven Oscars in 1971 which included Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. George C. Scott who had won the Best Actor Oscar declined to accept the award.
The scene above is included in the below U.S. half sheet.
Correct, Anthony Mann's classic western The Far Country from 1954. Mann made many other great western films in the 1950's including Winchester'73, Bend Of The River, The Naked Spur and The Man With Laramie, All these films, along with The Far Country starred James Stewart. Other westerns included The Furies, Devil's Doorway ( a favourite of mine ). The Tin Star and Man Of The West.
On the subject of director Anthony Mann's westerns, the following thread from the forum's archives supports my earlier comment of this film being a favourite of mine Highly recommended seeking out even if you aren't western movie fans.
There are many underrated films that don't get the recognition they deserve. One in this category is Devil's Doorway ( 1950 ) the Anthony Mann western made before Broken Arrow (1950 also ) with a release held back due to concerns at MGM and released after it, due to the success of Broken Arrow at the box office. Both films were sympathetic towards native Americans. I believe this is Robert Taylor's finest performance. Among the great Anthony Mann westerns it is the least known which is a shame and on par with the James Stewart / Anthony Mann collaborations, if not better. Louis Calhoun was also never better as the villain. Broken Arrow has long been on VHS then DVD and has been screened on Fox classics. Devil's Doorway has never been released in Australia on VHS or DVD. Bill Collins presented it on The Golden Years Of Hollywood many years ago and TCM has screened it. If you get a chance it is well worth a viewing. Hopefully I will hear a comment from someone who agrees with me
Correct. War Of The Worlds from 1953. I almost missed seeing your answer. It's as if it was delayed for whatever reason in arriving here onto the thread.

It is indeed the James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun from 1974.
A couple of images presented for those members interested in war films in mind. Both are films to be identified are very well known.
Then there is this one to add a little variety to the mix.
And also correct Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon from 2000.
A clue for the unanswered C194 image is that it a biographical war film that won multiple Academy Awards,.
The film was the winner of Seven Oscars in 1971 which included Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. George C. Scott who had won the Best Actor Oscar declined to accept the award.

Two very well known films from the same genre.
These two films shouldn't prove too difficult to identity. Two famous film directors were in charge

Well done Sven for correctly answering the other too images, Unfortunately the answer is incorrect for this one. The film in question isn't a western.
