  • C394 Complete guess but the only musical christmas film that comes to mind is White Christmas?

     C394
The above scene, out of the three presented images I had though would have been the easiest to answer.

The film has something in common with two earlier films.
Correct. White Christmas from 1954. Well done Ves for answering all the three presented Christmas images.

My clue referred to the song White Christmas being sung in the earlier films Holiday Inn (1942) and Blue Skies (1946) by Bing Crosby.

  • Since it is about the only classic Christmas movie let, how about White Christmas for C394?

    396 is Giant
Correct and well figured out. Giant from 1956.

  •  C398
Because I like the above scene image I thought I would include it here. Although this flawed film doesn't qualify as being a traditional classic film.  ls is regarded though these days as being a cult classic.

     C399
An interesting image that may have you struggling be able to identify the film

  • C398 is Slaughterhouse-Five. I apparently liked it far more than you. I thought it really fascinating, and Ron Liebman as Paul Lazzaro was brilliant.

Correct. Slaughterhouse-Five from 1972. This certainly is one of those films that has divided opinions regarding its merits.

Correct.  The Flight Of The Phoenix from 1965.

My posted image was the one seen through the eyes of the man in the desert mirage sequence. The actual Barrie Chase dance appears above.

  • Is c401 Flyboys?
  • jayn_j said:
    Is c401 Flyboys?
A good guess but not Flyboys from 2006.

You may need to think outside the box with this one.
  • C400 clue is based on a bestselling book.

C401 clue is although it looks like a war film image, it isn't the case.
  • Maybe The Aviator for C401 (based on your clue)

Another clue is first of many.
  • Nobody is going for C400?  Very popular film a decade ago
  • Since nobody jumped on that hint...
    The Hunger Games (2012)

    The Hunger Games (2012)
C400 is certainly The Hunger Games ( aka The Hunger Games ;  Mockingjay Part 1).

This entry was perhaps a little more modern than those usually produced here.

  •  C402
This latest entry should possibly look a little more familiar.
