  • Both versions of Spiral Staircase are great
  • Been holding out on the RKO 4 stars one sheets Ves. Just kidding.I will add  Man Alive to my list. If you notice any more RKO one sheets with or without starts  as you are going through that I  haven't listed on the 'Dating The Wonder Man One Sheet thread please let me know?

No not holding out...I haven't had a chance to read the whole Dating the Wonder Man thread, but did see some discussion around 4 star RKOs...just going through the one sheets now, so will definitely have more to add soon.
  • Stealing some of Chris' images...

  • Republic Pictures  / 20th Century Fox  daybills are fairly common but Australian one sheets not so much so it is great to see the Accused  one sheet.
  • Glad my images could assist - what a partnership!
  • Nice images...am I missing the ratings "badge" on The Last Express? Do all Aussie posters require them?

    Nope - it's not there - and that's a very good question.

It is possible this one was printed for NZ use which would see a stamped censor/ratings put on it?

  • Not so sure ratings made it on every poster, whether by accident or design I could not say. Even on this page there is three posters sans ratings. Both Dadd Rudds and For Whom The Bell Tolls.

True David - it does seem to have been more lax during the 30s
  • Paramount in Australia in the late 1930s were indeed  very lax.

    OMG...what a suckup!

    ;)
  • I like both, but the daybill seems to convey a stronger imagery.
  • Any excuse to post those Eastwoods eh Ves?  ;)
  • What's the deal with Eastwoods? I seem to read about old Clint on every thread today!
  • I was too lazy to crop them first.

The Eastwoods have since been moved.  They stare at me everyday when I sit and type away on my PC...

  • Any chance you could let me know the printer's details from the one sheet of The Man In The Sky?
  • Wow! :open_mouth: Man in the Sky Daybill is knee-buckling!!!

He said One Sheet, not Daybill...must be all the musty fumes from those floorboards posters!

  • My bad, thanks for pointing out the error of my post.

No fumes, a lot of dust in my eyes - which now make it hard to find that Niven poster.
  •  Get your Mrs to drag you to your bathroom so you can wash out your eyes, and get back to finding and happy snapping that Niven!

It's Sunday...don't you want me to end/start my week on a high? =)

  • I've seen your New York poster - you have all the high you need for the year. ;)
