USD$2.5K - well, now we know there is at least three of them out there.
There is more than 3 copies. What do you reckon of the result Dave?
We only actually know of three, who is owning up to the others...?
Well IMHO: probably more in line with what we would expect but as it's not a title I am chasing better to ask someone who wants it for their collection...
Fair enough. By the way how's bidll going? Any auctions coming up? Is the venture a success?
I didn't think the question was for me. Yeah I felt it sold for a good price. In saying that If the Aussie dollar was stronger it would have went for a bit more..

Interesting thought.
One wonders given the other went for almost twice this one then perhaps there was actually more wiggle room, but it was simply a case of not the same level of competition to force the pace.
Some aussie paper on EMPs auction. Can anyone find an earlier aussie poster that credits Edward G Robinson? And what is the next known aussie paper after this one to credit Edward G Robinson?

A ) He was only billed on one poster prior to A Lady To Love and this being The Night Ride ( 1930 ). Chances of finding any paper on this film would be remote, one would think.
B } A few Australian posters from the early 1940s have been sighted and some images are currently available to view on Google. I have never sighted any Australian posters from the 1930s he starred in for the original releases of any of his films. There is a one sheet and a daybill from a 1950's re-release by Ray Films of Barbary Coast ( 1935 ) retitled Port Of Wickedness.
I have further researched this topic and confirmed the following.
Arms and The Woman ( 1916 . )Edward G. Robinson was an extra in the film only.
The Bright Shawl ( 1923 ). Had a supporting role and isn't credited on any U.S. posters.
Night Ride ( 1930 ). Was credited on U.S. posters as previously mentioned.
I have a correction for The Hole in The Wall ( 1929 ) though. Original posters from any country are near impossible to locate for this film but from an Australian Paget's Talkies Flyer stamped 1930 off an image from John's site Robinson is billed as a co-star on the flyer. This means now there would have been two films pre A Lady To Love ( 1930 ) with Edward receiving billing on posters. What odds would be given to locate any large format paper of either of the films?
I must comment and say what a great acquisition John's Paget Flyers are for research purposes.

And?
Got the product but too busy elsewhere ATM.
Hiatus

It has a great image of both Edward G. Robinson and Claudette Colbert, the stars, both of whom were in their first major role.
It is a long story how I came to see it, and I could not buy it then, and I am amazed it seems to have never surfaced since!
Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
Oh no, there's no image then.
