Ha ha beat everyone to it...

I totally forgot I bid on this, but remembered when I got the bill.  Grace Kelly's first film 14 Hours US OS:

Grace's name is not on the poster, but I know and that is what counts!

    'grats.

One forgets how few movies she did actually appear in to have such a passionate fan base.
  • Nice one Charlie!

  • So I've either bought two quads, three or four...  Depending on my Best Offer...  And I splurged on a fake, yes a fake:

I've fallen off the wagon - can you blame me?
  • Nice Charlie. You can almost see her tatas

I wonder if this will come out in the UK as a one sheet?
  • The deal on the one sheet below took five months to complete but it finally happened. However, I think I can beat so check back the first week of July. The door panel below I received back in January but just received it back from the restorer.

  • ^ very nice. They look in great shape. You could buy Mel's entire collection with any one of those purchases. ;-)

  • Now for a recent acquisition back in the land of the plebs...

  • Got the full set there Steve, very nice! What year/decade do they hail from?

Michael, nice pick-ups! Curious as to why the risque door panel for what was essentially a musical. I've not see the film so is there a conection?

Thanks David. I think they are from the 50's. I suspect I may only have about half a full set as there are still many different day combinations (like a "Tue & Wed") and I have seen others along the lines of the CinemaScope one too.

The film is a precode musical with the musical numbers directed by Busby Berkley. One of Berkley’s trademarks was using super sexy ladies as dancers in his musical numbers. In the film there are scantly clad women throughout and the Pettin’ in the park number was risqué for the time. However, since this was still the precode era when this particular poster was produced. I would suspect Warner Bros was just trying to use pictures of risqué women to sell the film since they could get away with it.

  • Beautiful (of course) This Gun for Hire...
  • Here are some stills I have had that show his risque the outfits were:

  • Awesome pieces Michael. Nice Steve. I have thought about picking some of those up over the years but never have. I always end up finding something else I want more.
  • I need to get this site added to the "hotlink" exception list, so all of you can link directly to our images (and of course, that will include me!). I will do it when I return to work on Wednesday.

While you are at it, you might want to change the first word in the gif to say

    Oops

    instead of

    Opps

    And thanks Bruce!
  • Congrats Michael awesome posters!
  • The images are fixed, and now anyone from VMP can hotlink from eMoviePoster.com. But don't try it on other sites, or you will get the wagging finger!

The "opps" has not been fixed, but that is coming soon!
