Just signed up today. I have been collecting movie posters for a couple of years. I have a couple of hundred now, mostly well known movies from the 50's and 60's. Have several one sheets from the early Bond movies and the most valuable is a Psycho one sheet in fine condition.
I used to build collector cars, so have several posters from the hot rod genre and am playing around with some amateur restorations. Hope to learn a lot here.

I saw in your webpage your installation, Very cool !
If you are here I suppose you like movie posters, obviously, specially the artistic ones. What do you think about the alternative ones (Mondo, etc.) ?
Hi Diego, sorry for my poor english, but what do you mean by
alternative ones (Mondo, etc.) ?
Oh ! I suppose you knew about that, sorry
They exist "alternative posters" made by actual artists, ussually using screenprinting, but also other techniques
"Mondo" is one of the business, maybe the most known, who have this type of posters... Or was, because they fired recently the leadership people there and seems to be they want to get ride of the poster's divission

Hi everyone, I’m here representing my grandfather who ran movie theatres for 40 odd years in NZ and has an enormous poster collection. My mum and myself currently do the digital and logistical side of things to sell them off because it’s time now that he’s in his 80s. He has an amazing mental catalog of the posters so if you can’t find something on his website he will know if he’s got it stashed somewhere and it’s not listed yet. Www.fredsmovieposters.com

Welcome !
I think you and your grandfather will enjoy the thread here called "Hondo's This And That". Cheers !
Hi. I just joined the forum and look forward to learning more about movie poster collecting.
I'm an amateur collector - for me it's a fun hobby. I've been buying movie posters off and on since the 90's. I mostly look for good graphics that I like and that are not too $$$. I also like posters with dogs, Julie Christie, Lucio Fulci (that's my want list on emovieposter.com). Oh - and Bambi (the Disney one, not the Diamonds Are Forever one!). Odd combination of topics, but hey, it's fun!
Hi, I am a new member as of about 5 minutes ago. Thanks to Charlie for the invite.
I am in the Uk and have had an interest in movie posters for about 30 years picking up a few along the way. I now probably have about a hundred or so. Mainly from the 60s and 70s but a few earlier. Some are backed, some not. I was hoping to find somewhere to linen back a few more in the Uk, rather than the US, but I have yet to find a solid recommendation. Anyway, enough said here. I will make a few posts in the appropriate threads Cheers. Richard
Hello Everyone - thanks for letting me in I got into posters as a filmmaker and have some experience in archival work with film scanning and old posters / art works. I started doing my own linen backing through the usual route such as posterfix lol and came through this blog have also been following legitimate backing houses like studio M in Melbourne AUS.
Hi everyone, I started collecting years ago but only got serious last year. I really enjoy spending time picking through sites and flea markets, for myself and for others. I lived in the US the past 10 years but have recently relocated to Spain. I'm also getting into linen backing, though resources here are definitely a bit harder to come! This forum has been very helpful. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
