Yes it is the correct answer for C388, with it being the 1992 version, Highly recommended and I have viewed the film on numerous occasions. Thinking about it now another viewing wouldn't go astray.

  •  C389  C390i        I am thinking that one of the above images will be much easier to answer than the other.
  • "This time, Dude, right between the eyes"

Correct  for C389,  The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance ( to keep the records 100% accurate ) from 1962.

The below Australian daybill artwork I like very much. I just played the great Gene Pitney song recording which I hadn't heard for some time.

     C390
I was being a little cunning by including this one. A clue is that a different image of this film has been included in this quiz previously. The above image is slightly expanded.
  • C390 That did it
Laurel and Hardy - Way Out West (1937)

    Correct and well done.

  •  C391 C392
A couple of interesting images to have a think about.
  • Never seen either of these films, so will defer.  Kinda niche

Yes you could say that they fall into the niche category.

Both the films were distributed by major Hollywood film distributors, and were directed by highly regarded film directors.

Although critically well received they did struggle in attracting audiences,

  • A clue for both C391 and C392 is that both the films were released in the 1960s.

When I first saw the image for C391 I immediately thought of America America, but isn't it massively stretching it to call this a "classic movie"?

    Correct. America, America from 1963.

In my defense regarding being called a classic, I submit the following

7.7 / 10 on IMDd. This is well above the percentage normally given to films on this website.

One of Martin Scorsese's favourite films. ( Wikipedia )

Included in the annual selection of 25 motion pictures added to the National Film Register of the Library Of Congress ( Wikipedia )

2001 winner National Film Registry. ( Wikipedia )

Nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.

  • As the answer for C392 appears not to not to be known, I will now reveal the film in question to be Burn! from 1969.

  •  C393  C394  C395
Final  three entries until after Christmas,
  • I bet either C393 or C395 is It's a Wonderful Life!

     C394
The above scene, out of the three presented images I had though would have been the easiest to answer.

The film has something in common with two earlier films.
