Speaking of quirky Australian movies, what do you guys think of The Castle? I thought it one of the best movies I have EVER seen, and that is saying a LOT!

The Castle??? Tell him he's dreaming! yes, one of the most loved Australian films ever made, but check out The Picture Show Man - it has a lot of heart.

When I first saw C574 it reminded me of the 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I went to imdb and Sam Peckinpah is listed in the credits! Is that it? If so, what did he have to do with it?

Good thinking Bruce but unfortunately it isn't the case.

The following information will hopefully assist. The person in question, along with the film's director adapted the screenplay from a novel by another famous novelist from that period of time,.

Correct. Double Idemnity from 1944. An internet source credits the car as being a 1937 La Salle touring sedan.

My clue referred to Raymond Chandler who with the director Billy Wilder wrote the screenplay that they adapted from the novel written by James L. Cain.

The first wild guess for C577 is incorrect. I do like that you had a go though Bruce.

Your second wild guess for C576 was spot on though, so well done. Gypsy from 1962, Three supporting actresses appear in the below scene.
