Glass Slides

  • Here's a Gunns slide box, the art a bit obscured by  the added postage labels.

  • What a lovely bit of cinema history to own.  Never seen one so thanks for sharing!
  • What is the best way to display or show glass slides?
  • A backlit LED frame would be one option.

I intend to use a One Sheet sized example and possibly modify it with a sheet of acrylic sealed around the edges (with the slides sandwiched in between).

I own a few hundred, so hope to create a display for my 1920s to 40s ones.

  • A very nice selection of glass lantern slides pictured above. Of the few hundred glass slides you mentioned that you own are any of them perchance for Australian made or related films?
  • Not that I can recall Lawrence
  • Thanks though for responding Wil,

  • Three very rare Australian glass lantern slide images follow below that are certainly worthwhile seeing. Original source of slides unknown.
