Thanks Bruce for the information. One thing I would like to make clear here is that I wasn't asking for the name of the buyer /s, only asking for the continent of buyer/s. Supplying this information I had thought wouldn't identify the buyer in any way. On saying this, I fully understand your commitment to keeping buyers identifies secret which I applaud. I was simply just interested in having an idea if the buyer/s were Australian or perhaps Billy Graham U.S.A. fans by knowing the continent. It of course wouldn't have been conclusive had I had known the result, but it would have satisfied my curiosity. By any chance are there any more daybills of Shadow Of The Boomerang you may still be holding on to coming up for auction later on?
I get that it's Clint...but we are essentially talking a photocopy...one of the weirder posters for a collector!
I get what you're saying Ves, but I suppose it's a nicer image than the Aussie, likely far less produced and cheaper than buying the US 'Special' version. Plus of course completists gotta 'complete' (Irma)

A quality selection of Brigitte Bardot so far on display in Bruce's August Major sneak peaks across P1 & P2. Would suggest even more mouthwatering posters may be revealed soon...
I reckon second place will stay as is (hard days night), with A&B lost in Alaska hot in its heels. Also Halloween has to do well if recent sales are any indication.
Shotgun Wedding is top of all the posters in that auction at the moment with a bid of $385. They do say that ''one man's trash is another man's treasure''
I cannot find a record of a release date in Australia which would have been a limited one, but probably safe to say circa 1967 would cover it. In nine hours the bids have risen from $385 to $496. In is currently # 1 item out of the 999 items included in this auction. Anyone care to predict what the poster will eventually sell for?
Tell me the truth. If, right after the auctions started, I had offered you 100 to one odds that, with a day to go, "Child Brides" would be the highest priced item, and that a poor condition "In Which We Serve" would be in second price, would you have taken that bet?
Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
HAS lifetime guarantees on every item - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS unrestored and unenhanced images - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS 100% honest condition descriptions - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS auctions where the winner is the higher of two real bidders - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS "buyers premiums" - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "reserves or starts over $1 - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS hidden bidder IDs - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS no customer service to speak of - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "nosebleed" shipping charges - NOT eMoviePoster.com
At least Jaws has now moved into 2nd place, still shocked the Shotgun wedding is even in the top 20! Sadly my minty Aussie Jaws OS and DB has just gone missing in action on route to Mark.... noooooo.. oh, my Longest Day Quad was also in there!!!
The Son Of Frankenstein mystery daybill has jumped up to number four in highest daybill bids on eMovieposter. This daybill is a mystery poster with no title printed on the poster, but of course it has to be Son Of Frankenstein due to the Roland V. Lee and Willis Cooper credits. The poster with the NRC censorship rating dates it post November 1971. No record on the Australian Classification government website of it being submitted and registered for public exhibition. No record on Trove or any other source I has accessed of any release dates in Australia in the 1970's or later. My question then is was this poster perhaps printed for screenings at film festivals or other specialised screenings? I would be pleased if anyone knows anything regarding the purpose of the printing of this daybill poster, and is so love to hear it.
I'd say madness, but easily done. The psycho 3 Sheet taught my wife not to dabble in auctions.
HAHAHAHA. Funny that. When now husband and I were dating, I caught wind of a poster he was looking to get my as a present. Put an end to that, and told him not to do it again. Was a great and loverly thought, but he had no idea what he was doing...

One did sell on Ebay in May of this year in fair-good condition for $52.06. Not the same one though.

I know Matt knows his war paper and probably some very keen collectors for the in which we serve... maybe thats why he planted the seed !!
And no - it's not me flipping it on EMP ;-)
