I am likely wrong, but I am thinking 234 is Ruby Keeler from Forty Second Street.

And 233 looks like Ginger Rogers, maybe Follow the Fleet?

    Just wild guesses!
One very good wild guess was spot on. 234 is indeed Ruby Keeler from 42nd Street (1933). I have always though she looked awkward with her dance movements.

It isn't Ginger Rogers for 233. The lady in question is certainly like Ginger Rogers though as being one of the great screen dancers.

    A 233 clue is club.

The Ginger Rogers suggestion  was getting warm though.
  • 233 is Ann Miller in Stage Door, but it took some creative image searches

Correct. You guessed the film correctly. It is Vice Raid from 1959.,

  •   239  240
Two more images that should be easy enough to identify,

The following image though I am sure will present you with a challenge in finding an answer for it. Not a very well known actress for many. although a leading actress for a period of time after beginning her career as a child actress. Don't let the hair colour mislead you though. and think beyond Hollywood.

     241
  • The other two seem pretty straightforward to me, so I will do 241 as Janette Scott in The Beauty Jungle
  • Isn't 240 Rita Hayworth in Gilda?

Correct. The Beauty Jungle a British Rank Organisation film from 1964.

I had thought that this image would prove to be a difficult one in finding the answer for, so well done.

     ( John )
A young Janette Scott seen above with James Stewart in No Highway InThe Sky in 1951.

    Bruce said:

It certainly is Rita Hayworth in a scene from Gilda (1946 ) singing ( dubbed ) the song Put The Blame On Mame

  • I have a fondness for No Highway in the Sky.  I remember the scene, but never would have identified the little girl as Janette.
That film strikes home for me, as I spent years as an aerospace engineer.  The th3mes of the film are all too familiar.

I am surprised that the above image hasn't yet been identified. The film that the image is from is certainly regarded today as being a cult classic,

It is indeed Barbarella from 1968.

For the record the actress is Jane Fonda that you didn't mention Bruce, but I know you knew this anyway.

  •  242  243
Let us see how the above two images fare.

Yes Ves you are correct in saying that the image has been previously used. My bad in that I didn't remember this had occurred.

All good Lawrence, with all the effort you put into these quizzes its bound to happen.  I just remember that pink jumper from last time :)

  • For those who may not know, the Marilyn Monroe film the scene is from is Let's Make Love (1960). The 242 posted image recognised by Ves had previously been included here on this thread in 2017, when she also had answered correctly.

Unfortunately not the case. Some clues to help assist are later on in time and a connection with Marilyn Monroe.

Another 243 clue is the unseen dancing partner is a top comedian, and not generally associated with dancing
