A great suggestion Bruce and I can fully understand why you had thought it may have been the answer, Unfortunately it isn't the answer though.
  • A couple of clues would seem to be in order here for 250 and 251.

    250 clue is valuable.

260 clue is one of three and one hit wonder song hit.

    250 clue is valuable.

251 clue is one of three and one hit wonder song hit.

    250 additional clue is insured.

251 additional clue is being sung to.

  • For 251, I started thinking Tammy, with Debbie Reynolds, but there are 4 Tammy movies.  That leaves Gidget.  Sandra Dee?  And the title song by James Darren?  But that can't be right either because Darren had many hits.
  • For 250, the clues definitely say Betty Grable.  Can't find the image, but she is seen in something similar in How to Marry a Millionaire.

This one is certainly presenting itself to be a challenge.

Spot on with your thinking as to when the period of time was. A much bigger artist than James Darren, if that helps at all.

Correct. It certainly is Betty Grable as you mentioned. At one point of time her legs were insured for $1million.
The scene is from Song Of The Islands (1942) appearing with Victor Mature.
