  • There is still some interesting (to me anyway) things about this poster that I do find interesting, Any ideas as to what they could be?
  • I thought the sae thing about Andy Devine, he seems to have been billed above Henry on other artwork. Sloppy work experience kids doing the posters here I assume!

  • Does anyone have, or perhaps even just even sighted a copy of this poster where another film title was applied to it?
  • Does the pictured male actor look a little familiar to anyone?

Sure is. Now who then is the female actress he appears with on the poster. Any ideas anyone?

  • I immediately thought of this poster:

  • Well remembered Ves. The correct film, but it isn't Constance Bennet that we are after.

Service de Luxe marked the film debut (and in a major role) of Vincent Price in 1938. The actress we are after though is Joy Hodges, a supporting actress in the film. as seen below with Vincent and Mischa Auer.

  • Does anyone have another example of this stock poster being used for another film?

One final question to ask about this poster is does anyone have any thoughts regarding the A Universal Picture printed wording appearing over the black covered  over section on the bottom of the poster.
  • I have the poster but pretty sure its for the same film...I'll double check

I have since ruled out my thinking about this alteration as I do not have any evidence to back it up., I would love to know the reason behind it though.

A French film poster of the American film Attack! from 1956 with a mistake appearing on it. Shouldn't be hard to recognise.
  • I do find it unexpected that no one has picked up on the error on the poster.
  • Robert Strauss

Spot on Bruce. He was incorrectly credited as being Roger Strauss on the French poster.

Most likely he will be remembered mainly for playiing Sgt. Stanisiaus ''Animal'' Kuzawa in Stalag 17 in 1953.

As he appeared in Attack! and Stalag17.
